Uncut Jhumkas

The Technique (Jadau): Uncut earrings are traditionally crafted using the ancient Indian art form called Jadau. The stones are set by hand into a gold or metal framework using a base of lac (resin) and a delicate technique of inserting highly purified gold foil (sometimes called Kundan) between the diamond and the mount. This foil reflects light and helps secure the stone.
